The $39 pleated midi skirt you have to have

Guess what pieces in this look are designer and which are not! I bet you can’t! Well… maybe you can because I sort of gave it away in the title… Ever since last season, I have been obsessing over pleated midi skirts. I used to assume that because I am petite, they wouldn’t look good on me. But – I have found that as long as they are not too full or too long, they work well! A pleated midi, especially one with a cool print like this one, is a perfect office piece but can also be styled a bit “funkier” on the weekends. I love the look I see with girls wearing them with white sneakers and chunky sweaters. Whenever I wear pleated skirts, I feel sophisticated and love the way the skirt moves while I walk. The best part about this skirt in particular is the price – $39. That’s essentially a meal out in New York! I’d much rather have a skirt… 🙂

Even if this skirt was priced at over $100, I would still tell you the quality was great. It also fits completely true to size. I’m wearing a size two (which is the smallest option.)

Yes, this bag is a major splurge item, but it is my go-to fall bag. Although a bit trendy, the Gucci Dionysus style is a classic that I don’t see going out anytime soon. I also find this color to work well with just about anything! For more bag inspiration, check out this post I recently did.

The blazer is an old crop tuxedo jacket that I dug out of my closet from my favorite under the radar work brand. For petite ladies, specifically, try wearing a more cropped top with a full skirt to make you appear taller. This trick works wonders for me! I found this blazer for $35 that would work with the skirt, too!

I found this amazing pear detail blouse that I’m wearing under the blazer (more pics below) for $39. Guys…. it seriously looks designer. I will say, with respect to quality, the pearls don’t feel the most sturdy and when I wear the blouse I do get a little nervous I’ll loose one. For the price, though, I’m willing to take the risk!
